The Oceanic Black Tip Shark typically grows up to 1.8m in length. Every tip of every fin on its body is black. Along its entire length are different shaded grey lines. Its shout is pointed, eyes small slits.

We usually see Black Tips in the upper water region like 10m and shallower where they often come to check us out.

On our Baited Shark Dives the Black Tips often come in numbers between 5 and 15. They are very opportunistic and greedy. They take every bit of bait which falls out of the bait ball , swim around at pretty high speed and generally make our dives busy instead of relaxed.
